Mr. Weasley: We have a very different idea about what disgraces the name of wizard, Malfoy.
Lucius: Clearly. Associating with Muggles... [Harry watches as Lucius places two books into Ginny's cauldron] ...and I thought your family could sink no lower. I'll see you at work. [leaves the shop]

what's the use of ~ 은 관용 표연으로 '~하는 게 무슨 소용이야?' 라는 뜻이 있습니다.
따라서 what's the use of being은 '~을 하는게 무슨 소용이야'라고 해석할 수 있겠죠.
전체 문장을 해석해 보면, '그들(마법부)이 돈도 제대로 안 주는데, 마법사의 이름에 망신 주는 게 무슨 소용이야?'라고 해석할 수 있네요.
영화 자막으로는 '돈도 제대로 못 받으면서 뭐 하러 마법사 이름에 먹칠을 하나?'라고 해석하네요

기차를 놓쳐서, 나르는 차를 타고 가기로 결정.. 호그와트 급행열차는 1편뿐이라, 놓치면 끝인가 봐요

lad는 마부라는 뜻인데, 여기 상황에선 안 맞는 거 같네요.
처음에 ladies로 잘못 들었네요.
영화에선 '얘들아'로 해석했습니다.

귀중한 이유는 그 나무가 어떤 효능이 있다기 보단, 처음 심을 때 목적이 호그스미드 마을의 슈리킹 쉑(시리즈 거의 마지막에 나옵니다.)으로 이어지는 비밀 통로를 위장하기 위해서입니다. 이를 알고 있던 스네이프 교수가 귀중하다고 말한 게 아닐까요?
